Staff Therapists

Macy Grim, M.S., LPCC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Hello! I am licensed working in-person in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and online for all California clients. My associates are working in-person in the California office. As both a therapist and professor at the University of North Florida I specialize in young children and teens. I help families facilitate a healthy, loving relationship with each other while helping young children learn how to feel, process, and communicate feelings. This leads to more connection and understanding of themselves and others.

As a parenting and play therapist specialist, I work with children of divorce, anger, tantrums, trauma, sibling rivalry, anxiety, depression, academic difficulties, and self esteem issues.

As a new mom myself, I have a strong passion to assist in the transitional process of starting a family while still feeling a sense of autonomy and connection with yourself.

I like to take a holistic and nonjudgmental approach to counseling using a Humanistic/Child-Centered theory. This means I strongly believe in meeting the person where they are and working with the family to help develop a strong foundation of communication and understanding.

I am currently working with kids and teens to provide as much support as possible. There has been a huge influx of families needing services in the past couple years. My team works diligently to provide everything possible to make this transition back to normal life happier for children and parents. We work together to mitigate the damage done from an isolating past few years!

Please reach out if you need support.

Hello! My name is Monica and I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Occidental College and Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at USC.

I work with teens, children, and athletes struggling with academic/ performance stress, anxiety, body image, behavioral outbursts, and divorce. However, my main speciality is working with student athletes of all levels and ages. As a retired international and college water polo athlete, I believe that whatever is unprocessed emotionally outside your sport will impact your performance. I work with student athletes through a holistic approach - looking at their mental health, relationships, and challenge to have a growth mindset in life & sports. My goal working with athletes is for them to develop self compassion, gain confidence, have better relationships, lean into their resources/ community, and as a result their outlook in sports or performance will improve. I am also an advocate for athlete mental in the South Bay Community by doing public speaking at colleges, local schools, podcast appearances, athlete parenting groups, and team workshops.

Morgan Pinedo, APCC

In person in Hermosa Beach

I strongly believe in a collaborative art therapy approach to counseling, working closely with young children, adolescents, young adults, their families, and other relevant stakeholders to create holistic solutions. I accomplish this through a blended, client-centered approach, pulling from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to meet each client where they are.

As someone with a passion for creative arts and working with their hands, I also like to integrate Expressive Arts Therapy into sessions to help children and adults nurture deep personal growth and transformation. Expressive Arts Therapy combines psychology and our inborn desire to create to promote emotional growth and healing.

Therapy can be fun and transformational. With me, you can expect a variety of approaches to understand what best fits your unique needs. Everyone deserves a safe space to discuss life’s challenges, and I look forward to meeting you.

I began my career in Orange, California, as a Mental Health Counselor for the school district with a Master’s degree in Counseling and an emphasis in Clinical Counseling from Chapman University. I am working towards my Clinical Counseling licensure and servicing Redondo Beach and the surrounding South Bay area.
